Consultant in the field of sustainability and renewable energy. Main research interests: contemporary architecture, bioclimatic architecture, climate resilient and energy efficient buildings and cities, hydrogen energy storage. An author of the book “The process of developing relations with nature in contemporary architecture” (Wrocław 2018) awarded by Polish Academy of Sciences. Expert for the European Commission, European Parliament, Polish National Center for Research and Development. Co-founder of RoSE Center (Research Center for Sustainable Built Environment), PLEA Associate (Passive and Low Energy Architecture). Member of scientific board of multiple journals and author of over 100 publications.

Name: Marta RUDNICKA-BOGUSZ

Note: Work Experience & Area of Research Interest: A senior lecturer at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Architecture. She holds a Masters Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning and a PhD in Heritage Preservation. Her main studies encompass the problems of preservation of material heritage with complex parentage, the notion of cultural landscape as an outcome of overlapping patronages, the concept of sustainable cultural landscape and the process of acquiring prestige in the city through restoration of historic architecture. The author of over 30 publications. She holds a National Science Centre’s scholarship for research on historic post-military complexes and their revitalisation. She is a member of INTBAU and EAEA.

Name: Cansu Iraz Seyrek Şık

Note: Work Experience & Area of Research Interest: Cansu Iraz Seyrek Şık is an PhD student in the Faculty of Architecture at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. She received her Bachelor’s degree in architecture from Yıldız Technical University in 2016 and her Master of Science degree in Environmental Control and Building Technologies from Istanbul Technical University in 2020 in Turkey. Her field of interests are about sustainable building technologies such as vertical green facades, kinetic facades, energy efficient buildings, environmental impact assessment of building components. She participated in the International Civil Engineering & Architecture Conference (ICEARC’19) in 2019 and published a paper with the title ‘Evaluation of the Environmental Impacts of Living Walls’. She is the co-author of the article ‘Sustainability-Related Parameters and Decision Support Tools for Kinetic Green Façades’.

Name: Agata Woźniczka

Note: Work Experience & Area of Research Interest: She is an architect and an urban planner. A graduate of the Wrocław University of Technology, she also studied in Madrid and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at the Faculty of Architecture at the PhD School of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, where she is researching contemporary public spaces. She is a winner of the “Exercising Modernity” research grant and both the Jerzy Grotowski and Ministry of Culture and National Heritage creative scholarships. Her work has been exhibited at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, the Ludwig Museum in Budapest and at the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale, among others. She is a young and ambitious professional who believes that architecture drives the development of cultured society. Agata works on resilient architectural systems that allow to record the dynamism, complexity and density of life in the contemporaneity.
With Mateusz Adamczyk she runs BUDCUD design practice, winning architecture awards and urban planning competitions. In 2016, the Korean publishing house DAMDI published the studio’s monograph “More Than This”. In 2019, they were the only Poles to participate in the design work of the prestigious Bauforum in Hamburg.
